Words Fail Me!

If you're looking for a smutty book full of gay sex scenes - fine, this is for you. If you're looking for a book that explores the deep relationship between one of the world's greatest men and the love of his life - this ain't it. Mr. Stefan Pride - obviously a pen name - has simply used the allure of Alexander's name to snag people into reading his typical little gay sex booklet, which isn't even well-written. There has been no attempt made at accuracy in the subjects' characters, motivations or lives. He could have written the same thing about Bob & Bill - but who would have bought it. And really - Hephaestion as a vampire looking back on his life with Alexander? Oh, please!

A great love story with an awsome twist.

This is an awesome and quite believable look at a love story of the past. Alexander The Great and his life long best friend Hephaestion is an outstanding story. As a reader of gay romance novels, this one I could not put down. Its hot, and the devotion between characters is evident and simply moving. We should all be so lucky to find a love like Alexander and Hephaestion. The twist of fate as Hephaestion lies on his death bed is nothing short of amazing. I trust that you will not want the story to end. But to follow Hephaestion into life after death.

This was an excellently written piece with a good plot and interesting characters. I was sad that there is not a sequel.
