About the Author
Chris Shilling is Professor of Sociology at the University of Portsmouth. He has written extensively on the subject of embodiment, and on sociological and social theory, and his publications include The Body in Culture, Technology & Society (2005), The Body in Social Theory (2nd edition, 2003), The Sociological Ambition (co-authored with P.A. Mellor), and Re-forming the Body (co-authored with P.A. Mellor). He is currently writing a monograph entitled Changing Bodies and is coordinator of the International Body Pedagagics Project.

Part of a great series of "lift-the-flap" books

My 18 month old son enjoys all of the "lift-the-flap" books from this series. This one in particular has gotten a lot of use because it is about a fox finding his clothes and my son is now learning the names of different clothing items.

Super cute board book

My son just loves this book. I love it! She is an amazing author; we love many of her books. She is no "one hit wonder". The illustrations are so lovely; these two make a great team (author and illustrator - have many collaborations).

Wish I had gotten is way earlier, when my son was under 1 year. But he still enjoying it at 1 and 1/2. He loves flap books (I imagine all kids do). He is learning to say all sorts of words, like "hat" and "bow-tie". It teaching a lot of concepts. Really cute.

I got the book because my son's favorite toy is the fox, and it is not easy to find a book where the fox is nice and friendly. Wish it was longer, but it still is super cute!

Great quality book and nice story!

I purchased this after receiving "Rabbits Nap" as a gift from relatives in England and loving it. These books are much better quality than those typically sold in the US (thicker pages, the flaps that you lift are illustrated on both sides and durable enough that my daughter hasn't ripped them off like the rest of her books). This story wasn't as cute as "Rabbits Nap" but still a nice one. Definitely recommend this series.
